Access to RMIT Gallery for everyone

RMIT Gallery is housed in Storey Hall, an internationally acclaimed example of architectural innovation. It is located on Swanston Street, at the centre of Melbourne’s key cultural tourism areas.

RMIT Gallery is located at 344 Swanston Street, Melbourne, near the corner of Swanston and La Trobe Streets (Melways reference: 1A J4).

The Gallery is located diagonally opposite Melbourne Central Railway Station and can be reached by trams travelling on Swanston and La Trobe Streets, including the City Circle Tram.

Limited street parking is available. You will notice a flight of steps to the front glass doors. But don’t worry – you can still access the Gallery without climbing the stairs.

Disabled Access via lift

Access to RMIT Gallery is available via a lift for people with disabilities.

 
Access to the Gallery via the lift is as follows:
1. Enter the (unnamed) laneway between RMIT Gallery and Building 8.
2. Signs will point you to access entries.
3. Enter double glass doors on your right hand side (about 10 metres from Swanston St)

4. Enter lift, press button for the lift, select level 3 – Upper Foyer (RMIT Gallery)
